Gasgoo.com (Shanghai December 31) - Geely Vice President An Conghui has been promoted the positions of president and CEO, the Beijing Timesreported. Former President and CEO Yang Jian has transferred over to the board of directors, where he has assumed the role of full-time deputy chairman.
According to an official statement, Geely will enter an important new marketing phase in 2012, which is why Mr. Yang (pictured below) has been brought to the board of directors. Mr. Yang will help administer assignments done on the board as well as supervise managerial work. The position moves were made in response to Geely's global demands, as well as to help increase the efficiency of managerial work, PR Director Yang Xueliang said.
